The lowdown: Our original, and still the boss. Proper honey and a proper hit of real red jalapeño chilli mash doing the business. Sweet up top, a warm little kick underneath. This is the bottle that got everyone hooked, us very much included.

Heat level: 🌶🌶 Medium. Warms you up, won't ruin your evening.

Tastes like: Honey that's been to a party. Sweet first, then a bright jalapeño buzz.

Put it on: Pizza (non-negotiable), fried chicken, halloumi, goat's cheese, roast veg, wings, cornbread. We dare you to try it on vanilla ice cream.

The details: 260g squeezy bottle. Made in the UK. It goes cloudy sometimes because it's real honey, not witchcraft. Stand it in warm water and it'll sort itself out.

It’s taken over our lives. We’re literally having with everything. Including today’s sandwiches!

At first I was very happy, tasted exactly as I expected and was delicious. However, after around 5 days in the fridge it seems to have gone ‘ off ‘ ? It’s lost its red ish colour and gone almost crystallised and is impossible to squeeze out of the bottle now so you have to take the full lid off and spoon bits out if you were to try eating it. Slightly disappointed after it ticking all the boxes of what I was looking for in a hot honey but if it’s not going to last less than a week then it’s a pretty expensive weekend sauce

I love JD’S Jalapeño heat honey with everything accept my corn flakes. It goes so well with pizza, Pepperoni 🍕 and JD’s Jalapeño are made for each other. Asian food wether Chinese, Japanese or Fusion just work with JD’s Jalapeño.
